Brownie's "Secret" Ingredient:

Just like our brownies adding coffee adds a chocolate flavor that doesn't taste like coffee. We use instant coffee granules. The rest of the ingredients are simple and will give you the perfect brownie texture.

How to Make the Best Brownies:

1. Melt the chocolate: Melt together 2 cups chocolate chips and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Let cool for 15 minutes.

2. Wet Ingredients: Whisk together eggs sugar instant coffee granule oil and vanilla extract. Whisk cooled chocolate mixture into egg mixture.

How Long to Bake Brownies:

Fudge Brownies - Bake for 35-37 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center will soften.

Soft and moist brownies - bake for 40 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center should have moist crumbs.

How to Store Brownies:

  • At room temperature - Brownies can be stored at room temperature in a low humidity environment. To keep them fresh and moist cover with plastic wrap directly on the brownies and store in an airtight container for 4-5 days.
  • Freezer - Chocolate cake can be frozen for up to 3 months. To keep the brownies moist don't cut the brownies until you're ready to eat them.
How to Serve Brownies:

Our favorite way to serve chocolate cake is with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. You can also try drizzling chocolate on a dollop of whipped cream or top with fresh raspberries.

For frosted brownies: Cover them with chocolate ganache or chocolate cream cheese frosting.
